Yoga is the age old method of staying fit and slim. Yoga is a Sanskrit term and its meaning is to Yoke together. The body and mind is relaxed with the help Yoga. In Sanskrit, it is told as the Atma and Paramatma. Though Yoga is a very traditional method, today it is followed by many people all over the world.


The history of Yoga dates back 3,000 B.C. in the Indus Valley civilization. There are many yoga centers today in the city and you can get the right treatment there. There are separate yoga practices for the parts of the body and you will get the rejuvenation after doing the yoga.

There is a thought prevailing that yoga is a hard thing to do. But when talking yoga, it is very easy but one has to learn under a good tutor who can make you do the yoga in the right way. Because there are chances for complications to be developed when you have not learnt the right way to do yoga. Apart from complicated yoga practices there are also simple ways in which you can do the yoga.

It is said that with the practice of yoga you will be able to control even diseases in your body. There is yoga named Hatha yoga that is considered to be the best yoga to stay fit. It makes the body flexible and there are also breathing techniques that are being taught in this type of yoga.

The next type of yoga is the yama yoga in which the moral and ethical feelings are made to be understood by the learners. Ultimately you will come to know to learn about yourselves and also about others.

The Niyama yoga is taught to maintain self discipline and self development. The Pranayama yoga contains the yogas for breathing and they rejuvenate the body. The Dhyana is the yoga that relies on meditation and with the relaxation of the body and mind one can be successful in life.
